As far as Rwandese Gospel is concerned, the song “Ni iki watanze” went in history as one of the “living classics”, mainly because of its strong message about this life on earth. In the 1990′s the war was raging in the North of the country. Chorale Abagenzi interpreted the song ni iki watanze, to remind people we are just pilgrims on this planet.

Yewe mwana wa Adamu, uriho ugihumeka, mbese ntiwashimira Imana ikugejeje
Oh Son of man, wouldn’t you thank God who guards and sustains you?
aya magingo?
Abasore beza bitondaga, ba bandi beza b’imigenda abo wari uzi n’abo utamenye,
Some of the Handsome and serious young men have come and gone
bagiye ureba wumva ugenda.
and yet you survived.

What have you given oh son of man, so you could be protected
Menya ko ari ubuntu wagiriwe, ngaho nawe ujye ushima uwo Mwami.
It is nothing but grace, so give thanks to the Lord.

Wakoze ibibi mugenzi bibaza umuremyi wawe
You’ve done evil and grieved your saviour
nyamara aracyakurinze kuko agufitiye umugambi
but He still keeps you because he has a purpose for you.
Abakobwa beza bitondaga bamwe barinze ubwari bwabo, abo wari uzi n’abo utamenye,
Beautiful and lovely girls, who minded their youthful ways
bagiye ureba wumva ugenda.
Have come and gone, and yet you survived.

Ntacyo twatanze ngo turambe, ntawaguze ayo mahirwe
We did not give anything to live this long, one of us bought that chance
kuko nabo si kubw’abo kuko ntawanga kuramuka
Even those who no longer are, wanted to stay one more day.
Abagore beza bitondaga, bari imitima y’ingo zabo, abo wari uzi n’abo utamenye Beautiful women who were the hearts of their households,
bagiye ureba wumva ugenda.
have come and gone, and yet you survived.

ABO mu rungano rwawe, BAMWE ntabwo bakiriho nyamara abenshi
Some of your age are no more, and yet many of them
muribo bakurushaga ubutungane.
were more righteous than you.
Abagabo beza bitondaga bazi gucunga iby’ingo zabo abo wari uzi n’abo utamenye
Good men who managed well their households
bagiye ureba wumva ugenda.
have come and gone and yet you survived.

The translation may not have as much of an impact as the original message, but the message spans through generations because every second of our life, we are luckier than someone else to some extend. Do we take the time to think about this amazing grace of being alive? From my understanding, it is the only reason people kill each other, steal or cause other harm to their fellow humans because they don’t grasp the idea that being alive is a gift. So, how special do you think you are that God keeps you alive?

“The look is great, the advantages are numerous, security is improved and everything is together now.” That’s the new PraiseVoice in a nutshell!

My name is Janvier Manishimwe, I have been working on improving PraiseVoice over the past few months and I haven’t been any happier than now. It is the Grand debut of another chapter in the existence of PraiseVoice, and I have a few reasons to say so. In 2005 I had an idea to create a website I can use to promote “least heard of, world gospel” musicians and their work. On September 18th, 2005 I created the first “live” page of Praisevoice. What a privilege to share my passion for GOSPEL music with the world in my fashion!

As PraiseVoice takes on a new shape, I’d like to bring to your attention some interesting facts about PraiseVoice and features of the new version of my website:

The New PraiseVoice is much more stable and consistent than PraiseVoice has ever been before. This is mainly because the new PraiseVoice is built with “all-in-one” fashion in mind. That is, I integrated The Radio, the Shop, Greetings, contact, . . . into one whole system so that while you browse your music you can also enjoy shopping/browsing other services PraiseVoice has to offer.

The new PraiseVoice is entirely built with security in mind. This assures you as a visitor that your information is secure while you’re on our website and that if you decided to shop with us, you can have a peace of mind.

The new PraiseVoice is entirely made so you can have a say about our services. Don’t hesitate to comment on any products, any page, any article,. . .pretty much anything that has the “Leave a comment” link!

The new PraiseVoice is built to meet regular Online business standards. This includes a Public Security notice and a Privacy notice to the general Public as to the conduct of PraiseVoice and its affiliation. The Privacy document also details how we handle the information of our visitors.

With ll that in mind, let me walk you through a few new cool features PraiseVoice has to offer you, starting with the Shop. As you navigate through the website and getting the feel of it, you will notice that you can now add products to your cart pretty much from any page of the site! This is achieved thanks to Ajax Technology that we adopted for simplycity sake. ENJOY .

The Radio:
You can now not only listen to PraiseVoice live as before, but also you can now view live what’s actually playing on our server. This includes the song, the artist, the album information, and much more. It gets even better, because in a near future you will also be able to download the clip if you like it.

To contact us, you can now use one form that will “route you” depending on your reason to contact us. There are many other cool features about the new PraiseVoice you will discover as you go along, but you will at some point agree with me that it has never been any easier to go PraiseVoice!
