How do I add friends?

May 26, 2009 in General faqs, Ministry, News, partners by Janvier M

PraiseVoice gives you the opportunity to connect with other people, of the same interest. However, due to the nature of network communication, you need to be in mutual agreement with the person. To do that, it’s simple. Go to the members list page and select the person you would like to be friends with. Click on “Add friend +“. A friend request will be sent and once they approve your connection, talala . .!

Recent changes?

May 26, 2009 in General faqs by Janvier M

PraiseVoice has changed recently as you have realized probably. It moved from regular blog to being a fully integrated network that allows our visitors to connect with each other, interact and share intersting stories, documents, photos, videos and more. The main reason is to allow people to connect more.

PraiseVoice : Let’s get together and Praise the Lord

May 23, 2009 in News by Janvier M

PraiseVoice is fully back Online, more robust and more interesting than ever. Not only is it a fully functional social network, it’s also an advanced blog. There are a few reasons to this, but the most important one is that it is intended to bring people together more than before.

  1. What does this mean?
It means that now on, you can interact with other users here. You just need to choose them, invite them by clicking the appropriate icons, and voila! Once they accept your invitation, they are “your friend”. Do I need to tell you what friends do?
  2. Why this way?
A network is more interesting than just as regular blog because it brings interactivity and hence makes things more “lively”.
  3. How does it all work?
You need to sign in your account in the top bar section of the site or by visiting the praisevoice login portal. Once you are logged in, visit your profile and start editing it. From there, you can create groups, you can blog other people’s wires and so on. A wire is just a succession of events for any particular user.
  4. Where do I get help?
Help is always available from Janvier, either by emailing directly, or by emailing via the private profile. If you would like to know more about the PraiseVoice network, please let the admin know by contacting using the page for that end.

In the end, for those who love the world Gospel music, this is the place to meet and share whatever we may find interesting.

Blessings.

May 6, 2009 in Les nouvelles, Ministry, News by Janvier M

[flashvideo file=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HRXq9BZn98 /]

Tu t’appelles : Je suis !
Pour me dire : Je sais !

Ta parole me purifie et ton sang me justifie, Shilo !
Ta puissance me régénère.

At the Cross

April 12, 2009 in Ministry, News by Janvier M

Believing in Jesus is not a piece of cake given that you have to believe His resurrection. In other words, without the resurrection faith in Jesus would practically be as useless as believing in any other powerful man of God. It would be the same as believing in Elijah or Moses who accomplished so much in their lifetime but didn’t rise from the dead. But is it? Why was Jesus’ case so special and different? I will not go into depth about Jesus and his life, but will rather concentrate on his death at the cross and his resurrection and its implication on society and religion.

Jesus is no figure like any other in history for various reasons. He was born poor and yet claimed to be a king. He was born a house of a carpenter but claimed his father was God Himself. Not only that, He actually said they were equal. Despite the great miracles and accomplishment in his life, he died crucified in the middle of thieves and scoffers, and despised by society. Surprisingly, during all this misery, he forgave and blessed those who were treating him so unfairly given what he actually deserved. Finally, he resurrected on the third day. This was unprecedented because before Him and as far known as today nobody else did. From this alone, one can say that the resurrection in itself is not something to take lightly. It must mean something given its uniqueness in human history.

In Jewish tradition, Passover (Hebrew: Pesakh, Yiddish: Peysekh, Paysakh) was celebrated on a yearly basis starting from the 15th day of the month of Nisan in the Jewish calendar, to commemorate the escape from enslavement in Egypt. The observance of this feast was mandatory (And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt; and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.” (Deuteronomy 16:12) ). This was in the Jewish tradition. When Christianity was born, the day of the resurrection was liked to the passover more in a spiritual sense. That is, the resurrection of Jesus was compared to the day Israel was taken out of bondage. “Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, as you go, disciple people in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20) This is the greatest Christian commission. In other words, when Jesus rose from the dead, he was given all power, the same power he transmitted to his disciples. Likewise, one can logically conclude that had Jesus not risen from the dead, what we know as Christianity wouldn’t have existed in the first place. The many works accomplished by the disciples and those who came after them until now wouldn’t have been. The Holy Spirit that was sent on the day of Pentecost wouldn’t have.

All this sums up in a few words “at the Cross, Jesus accomplished it all”. That’s why the veil of the temple was torn in two( Mark 15:38 ), meaning that everybody was welcome to get out of bondage, Jew or gentile, a privilege only Jews had before. In other words, as a believer from outside Jacob lineage, I gotta be happy to have had somebody take the pain of the cross for me so I can have a hope for God’s heritage. That somebody was Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the same Jesus who was born poor and died like a thief, but rose to glory like a King and reigns sovereign forever more!!!

Sowers Group to tour Australia

March 2, 2009 in News by Janvier M

In 2003 I received a CD by a friend of mine. The content was a mixture of Kinyarwanda, Swahili, French and English in a combination of tunes and rhythms that may change one’s perception of Gospel Music. In my case it surely did, because saying that the CD blessed me would be an understatement. It was produced by the sowers Group. A few months later it started airing at ishimwe Online Radio that was in its infants steps. I am not intending to go in details about the Sowers group in this post, but it’s very important to mention it is one of the best well established and liked group in Central Africa and Eastern Africa due to their multilingual style!

For much of the March and April 2009, Australia is on list of those countries to be blessed by the Central African Group. As Published by Translator Records, The sowers are to perform in Australi and New Zealand between March 5th 2009 and April 18th at more than 36 appearances!!! Wow… If I am not mistaken, it is the first Rwandese Gospel Group to ever do such a thing ever!!
